We offer workshops that cover a wide range of techniques.  No previous experience is required and a passionate HPL instructors will guide you every step of the way.

Our workshops provide a hands-on experience, allowing you to bring your imagination to life and create unique ceramic pieces that reflect your personal style.

Ceramic Decoration Workshops:

During this workshop we will focus on various methods of surface decoration methods such as bubble glazing, underglaze transfers, slip trailing, underglaze application and the use of wax resist.  2 x bisque pieces are included in the workshop price, additional bisque ware can be purchased during the workshop. Following the workshop, all completed pieces will be glazed with a clear glaze and glaze fired. Completed pieces are available for collection 3-4 weeks following the workshop.

Make A Mug Workshop:

Create your very own hand built mug whilst having lots of fun! Suitable for beginners. All tools, glaze and clay required to create your mug are included in the workshop price.  Choose a colour from the HPL selection of glazes after which the studio staff will bisque and glaze fire your unique creation.  Completed mugs are available for collection 3-4 weeks following the workshop.

Children Birthday Parties

During this 2 hour workshop the children will either make a gnome or paint a gnome that was already made (parent choice of curriculum).  Additional space is available for placement of birthday cakes etc. and the studio can be made up with party goodies such as balloons.  Price per child is $80 (incl GST) which covers tuition, clay and glazing.
