Experience the satisfying sensation of clay spinning beneath your fingertips and witness the magic of transforming a lump of clay into elegant pottery forms. Our bright and happy studio provides a supportive and inspiring environment where you can connect with like-minded individuals, exchange ideas, and meet new people whilst learning a new skill.
The 5 weeks Beginners Level 1 Course is designed for those with little or no previous experience. You will be introduced to the foundation techniques of throwing on the pottery wheel. We will focus on the three C’s namely centering, coning up and cylinder forming and throw small bowls, plates and tumbler shapes. During the course we will also cover how to trim and glaze your pots. All tools, clay, glaze and kiln firings required to create your unique pieces are included in the course price. Unless otherwise scheduled, classes occur once per week (2.5 hours per class). Detailed hands-on training is provided.

During the 5 weeks Beginner Level 2 course the focus will be on building your skills and confidence on the Potters wheel. We will throw with larger amounts of clay to increase the size of pieces that can be thrown, work on more complex shapes and learn how to layer glazes. All tools, clay, glaze and kiln firings required to create your unique pieces are included in the course price. Unless otherwise scheduled, classes occur once per week (2.5 hours per class). Detailed hands-on training is provided.

During the 5 weeks Intermediate Throwing Course you will use the skills gained during the previous courses to throw more complex vessels and discover the nuances that make a difference in the quality and refinement of your creations. We will learn how to center larger amounts of clay and create forms such as bottles, large vases and dinner plates. The course will also focus on other methods of ceramic decoration such as carving and dip glazing. Receive tailored feedback and advice that will help you overcome challenges, improve your technique, and achieve greater precision and consistency. The Intermediate course encourages artistic exploration and creative expression. Develop your unique style and artistic voice as you experiment with different forms and decorative elements. All tools, clay, glaze and kiln firings required to create your unique pieces are included in the course price. Unless otherwise scheduled, classes occur once per week (2.5 hours per class). Detailed hands-on training is provided.
